We never solved the Quickbooks integration with CiviCRM - we have duplicate entry for both.

For a low-cost cloud-based CRM solution, check out http://civihosting.com. They'll take care of the complexity of installing and running CiviCRM for you.

Our organization is 9 years old, and runs on a home made Access database along with Constant Contact and Quickbooks, the 3 of which do not mix so data entry is redundant. We are just looking at getting a CRM to replace the 1st 2 and automatically connect with Quickbooks, with the hope that the added capabilities of a CRM system will support new efforts in fund development. We are looking at cloud based CRMs primarily, but these are not free, unless you go the route you have gone. i suspect though that without your expertise, this would be a difficult route to take, adapting the open source CiviCRM to a children's chorus. Any comments on that process?
