Rick Harris

President and CEO

Rick Harris first became involved with the Girl Choir when his daughter auditioned in 2006. Since then, he has become heavily involved in supporting our organization. Dr. Harris joined Girl Choir Board of Directors as the President and CEO in 2007.

Dr. Harris has been an active member of the community. In 2005, he founded the nonprofit organization Community Outreach Resource and Education (C.O.R.E.). He has been a member of the Board of Directors of numerous professional and civic organizations as well as the CEO of several different mental health companies. He served as the volunteer coordinator for the Love Jen Family Festival. He has been involved in youth sports as a coach, team manager, and founder/president of a travel team.

Dr. Harris received a Doctorate of Psychology degree from Nova Southeastern University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Miami, a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Psychology from Florida International University, and a Master of Education degree in Community Counseling from the University of Miami. He is a co-founder the practice of Weston Psychological Associates.

Salvatore Fasulo

Vice-President

Salvatore Fasulo has been involved in the Girl Choir since joining the Board of Directors in 2006, serving as President. He is the husband of Gretchen Fasulo, one of our Assistant Directors. His legal expertise is a valuable asset to the Board.

Mr. Fasulo holds a law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and a bachelor's degree in political science from Florida State University. He is currently a Director of the law firm of Tripp Scott in Fort Lauderdale, specializing in general commercial litigation and commercial real estate law.

Carol Loman

Treasurer and CFO

Carol Loman has been a part of the Girl Choir since its inception, starting when with daughter's audition in 2005. She has served as a Choir Mother for the Concert Choir since that time, and in 2006 she joined the Board of Directors as our Treasurer and CFO.

Mrs. Loman has been active as a leader a numerous volunteer roles. She has been a classroom mother, youth group leader, and Girl Scout mother. She is also a percussionist.

Mrs. Loman is currently the Billing Supervisor for Henderson Mental Health Center in Fort Lauderdale. She has 16 years of banking industry experience, including serving as Branch Vice President.

Eric Peterson

Secretary and Director of Communication

Eric Peterson brings to the Girl Choir his extensive experience as a choir volunteer. He is the husband of Wallis Peterson, the Artistic Director of the Girl Choir. In addition to serving as Secretary of the Board of Directors, he is responsible for communication, publicity, and event management.

Since moving to South Florida in 1990, Mr. Peterson has served as a volunteer, supporting the choirs directed by Mrs. Peterson, including South Broward High School, First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale, The Blake School, and Florida's Singing Sons Boychoir. His two boys are currently members of the Singing Sons.

Mr. Peterson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Florida State University in 1990. He has over 20 years of professional software engineering experience and currently serves as a Software Engineer with General Dynamics C4 Systems in Sunrise, Florida.

Marie Darmanian

Director of Development

Marie Darmanian became involved in the Girl Choir when her daughter auditioned in 2006. She joined the Board of Directors in 2007, and she is currently serving as the chair of the Fundraising Committee and the Volunteer Committee.

Dr. Darmanian was a member of her high school choir, and she is currently a member of the Nova Singers community choir. She has worked as a volunteer for the Love Jen Family Festival. as a psychology consultant to a wellness program at Cypress Bay High School, and as a stress management consultant at Indian Trace Elementary School. She has been a choir parent for Tequesta Trace Middle School and served on the Broward County Commission on the Status of Women. She has also coordinated and facilitated a support group for nursing mothers at the Nova Southeastern University Family Center.

Dr. Darmanian received a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Psychology from Florida State University, a Masters of Community Counseling degree from the University of Miami, and a Doctorate of Psychology dgree from Nova Southeastern University. She is a co-founder of the practice of Weston Psychological Associates.
