No preparation or singing experience is necessary. The entire audition process takes approximately 15 minutes.
When prospective new members first arrive, they are greeted and asked to fill out an audition form. When the artistic staff is ready, girls will be asked to audition individually or in small groups. At the start of the audition, each prospective member will be asked about any singing or other instrumental musical experience she may have. Each girl will be asked to sing something familiar, such as "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star" or "My Country Tis of Thee". The artistic staff will then assess each girl's range, her ability to hear high and low sounds, and her ability to echo back tonal and rhythmic patterns. During the audition, our choir members, parents, volunteers, board members, and staff will be available to answer any questions that you may have about our program. When all auditions are complete, the artistic staff will review the candidates. Each potential new member will be contacted by our staff and informed of her audition results. Each girl who is accepted will be placed into the choir level best suited to her age, experience, and ability. New members will be informed of the date, time, and location for registration and rehearsal.

What They're Saying
I attended your performance this week. I thought the girls were wonderful and amazing, but what really impressed me - touched my heart - was watching you conduct those girls. You had a big smile on your face, you were encouraging and gentle with them, all in your expression. I cannot thank you enough for that sort of love for our children. Girl Choir Parent
