Major Events

All Girl Choir members participate in two major concert series events each season: our Holiday Concert Series on the second weekend of December, and our Spring Concert Series on the third weekend in May. These events are open to the public, and everyone in our community is encouraged to attend. The concerts are two hours long and feature all of the music and choreography our choristers have prepared each semester.

Community Outreach

The Girl Choir is regularly invited to sing at a variety of charitable and professional events throughout our community. We perform regularly for sporting events, nursing homes, hospitals, charities, even on television - in 2008, our Concert Choir performed live on NBC 6, and all of our choirs hosted a joint workshop with the Wellesley College Choir. Our goal is to bring music not only to our members but to other parts of our community.

Social Events

The Girl Choir hosts a variety of social and fundraising events throughout the season, including our Annual Picnic in September, our Halloween Costume rehearsal, fundraisers at local restaurants, and our Awards Ceremony in May.

Summer Tours

Each summer, our Concert Choir members go on tour to see the world, perform for people outside of South Florida, and to participate in festivals and workshops. So far, we have visited Orlando, Atlanta, and New York City. This season, we have been invited to be a part of the prestigious 2009 Pacific International Children's Choir Festival in Oregon.

What They're Saying

Singing in one a choir is strongly correlated with qualities that are associated with success throughout life. Greater civic involvement, discipline, and teamwork are just a few of the attributes fostered by singing with a choral ensemble. Children who sing in choruses have academic success and learn valuable life skills.
