“All Together” Rehearsals
- In addition to weekly rehearsals, GCSF members attend a few “all-together” rehearsals each semester with singers from all locations on select Saturday’s in October & March. Attendance at these rehearsals is mandatory as it is our main choreography instruction opportunity.
- Aurora & Mariposa Choirs all-together rehearsals last a half-day.
- Radiance Choir’s all-together rehearsal is a full day.
- Premier Ensembles all-together rehearsal is overnight.
Performances
- All ensembles perform at our main-stage concerts in December and May. Additional dress-rehearsal dates are scheduled in advance of each major concert.
- There are multiple additional community performances throughout the season.
Tours
- Aurora Choir – Day trip in April/May (South Florida day destination).
- Mariposa Choir – Overnight trip to Disney (park and performance or workshop) in April/May.
- Radiance Choir and Premier Ensemble – Members may individually audition to participate in honor choir festivals put on by the American Choral Directors Association and UNF’s “Jacksonville Sings.” These choirs have the opportunity to attend our annual summer tour in June/July (national or international, 4 to 8 days).
